Charles Robinson
Co. Founder
After leaving college at the age of 17 Charles began
his career with a local engineers cutting tool specialist.
During this time Charles gained a very comprehensive
knowledge of all cutting tools and their application.
At the age of 21 Charles decided to leave this company
to further his career and knowledge of cutting tools
and became the area sales manager for northern england
for a UK based manufacturer of Carbide cutting tools.
Charles was now responsible for managing a large
distribution network and end user customer base,
providing technical advice on tool selection and
cutting data. It was during this time that Charles
recognised a demand for independent distributors,
promoting branded quality products. In 1994 Helix
Tool Company Limited was born.

Louise Robinson
Co. Founder
Prior to managing the finances at Helix Tool Company
Limited Louise worked within the private industry
in the capital planning and investment appraisal
department. From here Louise then went on to further
her career within a local health authority working
within management accounts. Louise then continued
to progress with her education and whilst studying
louise gained many business and accountancy qualifications
including a HND in Business & Finance. With
Louise's experience her sound management of Helix
Tool Co. accounts has put the company in a very
strong trading position. This has facilitated managed
growth without exposure to unnecessary risk.

Eddie King Operations Director
Eddie started as an internal sales engineer at Helix
in June 1997. He is responsible for identification
and procurement of cutting tools to suit each customers
requirements. Eddie is committed to achieving the
most excellent service possible by ensuring the
correct goods are delivered on time and at a competitive
price. Eddie also keeps up to date with the latest
innovations in cutting tool geometries, grades etc.
giving him a technical knowledge which allows him
to apply the correct tooling to suit each particular
application. Eddie has successfully completed a
number of training programmers with some of the
most technically advanced cutting tool manufacturers
on the market.

John Smith Sales Director
John Smith joined Helix Tool Company, in April 2004. He brought with him a wealth of experience gained through many years within the engineering industry. Johns career began in Sheffield in 1976 as an apprentice turner. Continuing to gain hands on knowledge of most machining disciplines he gained an advanced CNC programming accreditation. In 1998, he joined a well established UK manufacturer of cutting tools as an applications engineer. Johns wealth of experience gave his customers piece of mind that he was able to offer them the best advice on all applications. Johns position enables him to provide all our customers with the best tools for the job selected from a portfolio of globally recognised quality branded products. Helixs commitment to selling branded cutting tools convinced him that joining the team was the right decision for him.

Mick Wainman Sales and Applications Engineer
Mick, like the rest of the team is dedicated to providing the end user with the very best customer service. Mick served his time as an apprentice engineer with a large manufacturing group in Bradford West Yorkshire. With many years of hands on experience in the manufacturing industry Mick transferred his talents to become an Applications Sales Engineer in 1997. Working for distribution and supporting a varied network of customers, he has gained a broad knowledge of cutting tools and their application. Mick is able to select tooling based on customer requirements from the array of branded suppliers to get the best tool for the job.

Shirley Clay Sales/Marketing Co-ordinator
Shirley Clay has gained a wealth of experience in the field of service improvement. Shirley's previous experience with two of the U.Ks largest blue chip companies involved identifying customer needs, developing and implementing systems and procedures to improve service delivery to the end user. Shirley joined Helix in 1996 and welcomed the challenge of a new and exciting company. She quickly became focused on marketing and service, building strong working relationships with suppliers and customers, Shirley is constantly reviewing the company's marketing portfolio - ensuring customers are continually up dated on new innovations and cutting tool technologies.

Helen Parsons Sales/Purchase Ledger
Helen Parsons joined Helix Tool Company direct from
college in 1996. Helen has gained a huge amount
of experience in all aspects of engineering distribution
in this time. This includes stock control, goods
inwards and outwards, internal sales and accounts.
Helen's willingness to learn all aspects of Helix
tool Company has made her an invaluable member of
the team. Helens duties include stock control, sales/purchase
ledger and timed delivery management.

George Zommerfield Warehouse/Deliveries
George has many years experience in delivering the best in customer service. Georges main responsibilities at Helix Tool Company are to ensure all van delivery targets are met daily for all existing and new customers. Importantly George can liaise with all our customers on a regular basis providing essential feedback to the team at H.T.C.
